About the Role
This position involves estimating and contract administration for engineering projects, focusing on interpreting technical documents, developing proposals, and managing customer contracts.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and military specifications.
- Gather, evaluate, and analyze data (using current and historical data) to develop quotes for customers.
- Negotiate pricing and terms of conditions with customers.
- Manage and coordinate the work of data entry personnel.
- Write and develop multi-year, multi-million dollar proposals for customers.
- Monitor ongoing contracts to assure conformance with terms and conditions, on-time payment, and completion of requirements.
- Serve as the primary customer interface for all contractual issues.
- Ensure orders are processed quickly and accurately.
- Act promptly on customer requests.
- Act as a liaison between customers and production.
- Travel and meet with customers to negotiate future and existing contracts.
- Attend supplier conferences as InterConnect's representative.
- Calculate and submit pricing for engineering changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Above-average computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Strong focus on high-quality customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write large, detailed proposals.
- Above-average writing and math skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously (multi-task).
