About the Role

This position involves estimating and contract administration for engineering projects, focusing on interpreting technical documents, developing proposals, and managing customer contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and military specifications.
  • Gather, evaluate, and analyze data (using current and historical data) to develop quotes for customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of conditions with customers.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of data entry personnel.
  • Write and develop multi-year, multi-million dollar proposals for customers.
  • Monitor ongoing contracts to assure conformance with terms and conditions, on-time payment, and completion of requirements.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for all contractual issues.
  • Ensure orders are processed quickly and accurately.
  • Act promptly on customer requests.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and production.
  • Travel and meet with customers to negotiate future and existing contracts.
  • Attend supplier conferences as InterConnect's representative.
  • Calculate and submit pricing for engineering changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Above-average computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Strong focus on high-quality customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to write large, detailed proposals.
  • Above-average writing and math skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously (multi-task).
