About the role

The Contract Administrator will manage and administer contracts within the defense industry. This role requires a strong understanding of government contracting regulations, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. The selected candidate will work at our office in Huntsville 4 days per week with a hybrid option of remote work 1 day per week.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including government and subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Manage contract modifications, extensions, and renewals.
  • Monitor contract performance and deliverables to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable government regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents.
  • Collaborate with internal department stakeholders and liaise with government representatives and subcontractors to resolve any contract-related issues.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, provide guidance on contract terms and conditions to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain contract documentation, ensure timely submission of required reports and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in contract/subcontract administration, preferably within the defense industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting regulations.
  • Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint modules, specifically the Capture & Contracts module and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities effectively.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or equivalent certification is a plus.
