Contract Administrator
Job Description
The Contract Administrator will prepare procurement documentation, acquisition strategy development and execution, and support source selections. This role includes drafting legal documents, maintaining contract systems, and coordinating with DFAS. The Contract Administrator will also provide guidance to junior acquisition staff and ensure FAR compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead acquisition strategy and execution
- Prepare solicitations, modifications, and amendments
- Support source selections and proposal evaluations
- Draft briefings, legal documents, and agency reports
- Maintain contract writing systems and perform cost/pricing analysis
- Cookordination with DFAS and ensure FAR compliance
- Respond to protests, claims, and audit inquiries
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- OR - 9 years of federal contracting experience
- OR - 7 years of Air Force contracting experience and 9 years of federal contracting experience
- OR - 6+ years federal contracting experience, including 3+ years base-level purchasing
- DAWIA/FAC-C Professional certification
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction contracting
- Familiarity with federal acquisition systems (CON-IT, DEAMS, PIEE, CPARS, SAM)
Work Location & Schedule
100% onsite at Davis-Monthan AFB
