Contract Administrator 4 - Procurement and Contracting - FT - Days
About the role
The incumbent is a recognized expert in contract administration and utilizes advanced skills to draft and issue highly complex or customized contracts. They collaborate with internal partners and legal staff to structure contracts and provide professional contracting services in compliance with all policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Analyze contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Advises management on contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with internal partners and legal staff to structure contracts.
- Manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources.
- Provide consultation, advice on drafting complex contracts, and assistance in the interpretation of contract language.
Requirements
Effective interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain credibility and working relationships with vendors, colleagues, and client groups. Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; advanced ability to deal with broad and diverse constituencies using advanced customer service orientation and skills. Advanced organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills. Advanced listening, political acumen skills, and problem recognition, avoidance, and resolution skills. Advanced knowledge of contracting principles and practices, methods, and procedures used in competitive procurement, including value analysis, and source selection techniques. Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and other tools in the Microsoft Office suite. Advanced knowledge and understanding of specific contracting assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Skills

Uses advanced contract administration skills to draft and issue highly complex or customized contracts. Provides consultation, advice on drafting complex contracts, and assistance in the interpretation of contract language.
