Contract Administration Manager (Austin)
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking a Contract Administration Manager I (CAM I) to join the VR Contract Administration Services (VR CAS) department. Located at 1117 Trinity Street, Austin, Texas, this position supervises the day-to-day activities of the VR CAS team and coordinates their annual performance reviews.

The ideal candidate will share TWC’s mission to ensure contract management is ethical, transparent, impartial, and professional. They will supervise the VR CAS team, review and assist with the development and management of VR contracts, and provide technical expertise and guidance regarding contract-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day activities of the VR CAS team and coordinate annual performance reviews.
- Review and assist with the development and management of VR contracts.
- Work with the CAS Director to develop and approve priorities and standards for achieving goals in CAS.
- Identify and advise the CAS Director on improvements to comply with requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with the agency to ensure a positive and productive environment.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance regarding questions related to TWC’s contract management.
- Perform related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Texas Contract Manager.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to contract management functions and principles of public administration and management.
- Ability to establish goals and objectives, devise solutions to administrative problems, develop and evaluate administrative policies and procedures, prepare reports, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to evaluate contracts and recommend future status, interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to write policies and procedures and to write and edit contract documents and tools.
Qualifications
- Five years of full-time experience in contract administration, management, evaluation, or monitoring of contract providers.
