Contract Accountant (Part-Time / Project-Based)

About the role

We are seeking a highly capable Contract Accountant to support our team on an as-needed basis with accounting, tax, and entity management projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and can independently manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with management on special accounting and finance projects.
• Coordinate with external tax firms, CPAs, and advisors.
• Assist with the cleanup, dissolution, and closure of legacy legal entities.
• Gather and organize financial records and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile accounts and research historical transactions.
• Prepare schedules, workpapers, and analyses for tax and accounting purposes.
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and ad hoc analysis.
• Identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive projects to completion.
