About the Role
The Zurn Elkay Business Systems (ZEBS) Specialist provides support for the practical application of lean operations, lean growth initiatives, and Six Sigma tools to support the corporate team. This role involves tactical implementation of the Zurn Elkay Business System, encompassing lean operations, operational excellence, and Six Sigma tools and processes. Successful candidates will enhance key business processes to add value to customers, shareholders, and associates while improving our manufacturing and distribution network’s ability to deliver best-in-class service. This role will also develop and propose operations strategy, track projects, and work across multiple functions without direct reporting authority. The position is based onsite at our Freeport, IL facility.
Responsibilities
- Learn the Zurn Elkay Business System (ZEBS) and ZEBS Blueprint, adopt the standards, and apply and uphold expectations.
- Support site initiatives to drive ZEBS adoption and associate participation, including process experts.
- Document “best practices” and build a sharing platform for associates.
- Facilitate daily management for the ZEBS team across all key metrics.
- Identify and propose site solutions to minimize and manage resource constraints.
- Facilitate and support lean processes in accordance with the organization’s Lean Implementation Plan (ZEBS Trainings, Boot Camps, Standard Work, 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Kaizen, and Pull Principles).
- Lead the ZEBS Continuous Improvement (#CI) program through associate participation and prioritizing top opportunities.
- Support the Strategy Deployment process by ensuring core deliverables are translated to roadmaps and adherence is maintained.
- Facilitate problem-solving to address and resolve problems systemically.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 4+ years of experience in a process-based environment with assignments in lean/continuous improvement.
- Proven track record of driving results.

Pay
Base Salary: $74,371 - $102,260. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education, training, and other relevant business and organizational factors.
