Implementation of projects, including application of lean tools to eliminate waste, lab area organization, time studies, documentation, presentations
Aid in the development of Lab Work Instructions focusing on engineering processes and ISO 17025 guidelines
Develop and implement visual controls and signage in the lab to reinforce processes, provide metrics, and improve productivity
Collaborate with lab management to develop Lean mindset and Lean-oriented processes to enhance efficiency and standardize work
Work with lab technicians and supervisors to gather observations, ideas, and solutions
Lead weekly staff meetings
Coach and challenge process owners in the use of lean and statistical tools, approaches, and techniques to establish process management and measurement systems
Drive safety, quality, and efficiency measures through proactive problem resolution, follow-up, and follow-through
Contribute to additional projects to support ongoing business needs

Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Motivated to learn and develop individual skill sets
Knowledge of MS Office
Technical experience in an ISO 17025 accredited lab
Mechanically inclined
Ability to read and understand technical documents, read measurement devices such as rulers, calipers, gauges and multimeters preferred
Problem-solving techniques
Strong team player, results-oriented, dedication to excellence, and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives
Good judgment and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
Experience 1 year of experience in related role
