About the Role
A day in this role involves:
- Reviewing logged internal quality issues to identify areas for improvement and developing solutions to eliminate recurring problems (Root Cause Analysis).
- Spending time on the plant floor observing manufacturing processes to identify and reduce waste.
- Collaborating, organizing, and leading multi-team departmental Kaizen events to improve workstation organization, workflow, and throughput.
- Implementing permanent solutions to Safety, Quality, and Production issues, primarily on the production floor.
- Working with Safety, Quality, and Production teams to plan and execute process improvements.
- Implementing error-proofing processes to ensure consistent high-quality products for end users.

Responsibilities
- Help maintain a continuous improvement mentality with a focus on Kaizen (small change for the better) across the facility.
- Observe, investigate, and effectively communicate process improvement projects to all relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with plant management and the corporate Continuous Improvement Lead to execute process enhancements that maximize productivity.
- Proactively identify process improvements and reduce or eliminate manufacturing waste in daily workflows.
- Lead cross-functional teams while implementing 6S projects in various manufacturing workspaces.
- Coach and mentor others on Kaizen, lean manufacturing, and 6S methodologies and practices.
- Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of projects as assigned by the Quality Manager and corporate Continuous Improvement Lead.
- Analyze and evaluate existing facility processes and procedures, discussing possible Safety, Quality, and Productivity improvements with plant management.
- Perform additional tasks as needed, as defined by the Quality Manager.
- Report directly to the Quality Manager at your facility.
- Travel up to 5% of the time.
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality.
- 4-year technical degree in an electrical, electronics, or mechanically oriented curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience analyzing data and identifying trends.
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to perfect product quality and maintaining a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work standing for extended periods of time.
- Required to use ladders, forklifts, or other means to acquire parts for product assembly.
- Able to use power and hand tools, as well as electrical testing and measuring equipment.
- Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds independently.

Pay
$65k–$95k base salary, negotiable dependent on experience, with additional monthly bonus based on productivity and profits.
