Responsibilities
- Consults and gives feedback on the daily activities of VOS coordinators, and their support staff.
- Ensures alignment and adherence to the VOS specs and framework.
- Ensures employees operate within VOS guidelines.
- Leads the VOS steering committee.
- Accounts for the administration and execution of policies and procedures.
- Decisions have a direct impact on plant operations and customers.
- Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels.
- Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution.
- Able to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence.
- Leads/skilled in facility VOS communications, education, and trainings.
- Leads site analysis including baseline of operations and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement.
- Partner with the regional VOS leader to develop and deploy VOS strategy.
- Accountable to the rhythm and rigor, right hand to Plant Manager.
- Works with plant manager and Kaizen team leader to define/set appropriate targets for improvement and measure progress to targets.
Requirements
- Ability to coach, teach, and lead leaders to develop continuous improvement strategies, influence decision making, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the plant operations and functions.
- 3 - 5 years or more of hands-on experience in the application of Lean/Six Sigma methods and way of thinking.
- Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and inter-personal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in local language and English.
- Strong analytical skills, including the use of statistical modeling techniques, root cause analysis, and other tools and methods typically deployed to drive operational improvements.
- Strong experience in applying and coaching change management, behavior coaching, and performance management methods.
- Ability to influence and lead in a matrix organization to drive accountability and execution of VOS mindset and activities.
- Previous experience leading teams through change management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 5 plus years’ experience.
- Six Sigma / Lean certifications, preferred.
