By reducing methane emissions and supporting the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries such as heavy-duty trucking, the organization contributes to cleaner energy production and more sustainable industrial operations across its nationwide network of facilities.About the OpportunityThe Continuous Improvement Engineer leads operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives across a fleet of biogas facilities. This role focuses on increasing production efficiency, reducing operational losses, optimizing costs, and standardizing best practices across the organization. The position uses performance data, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities, implement corrective actions, and drive sustainable operational excellence.Responsibilities• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the biogas fleet.• Develop and maintain operational scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, and performance reports.• Analyze operational losses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.• Evaluate asset capability and identify opportunities to improve performance and production.• Identify gaps between actual performance and production plans and develop improvement strategies.• Lead constraint management, optimization, and performance improvement initiatives.• Maintain fleet performance monitoring and daily operational reporting systems.• Monitor energy consumption, variable operating costs, and other key performance indicators.• Benchmark facility performance and standardize successful operating practices across the fleet.• Apply analytics, AI-enabled tools, and economic modeling to support operational decision-making.• Support operational excellence initiatives related to asset reliability, mechanical integrity, event reduction, risk management, and reliability systems.• Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, reliability, and other technical teams to implement improvements.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related discipline.• Minimum 5 years of process improvement or operational excellence experience in RNG, oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, or a similar industrial environment.• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to analyze operational and financial performance trends and translate findings into actionable improvements.• Experience using AI tools or advanced analytics to support operational improvement.• Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional coordination skills.• Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.• Ability to work from a home-based location, preferably near one of the organization’s operating assets.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Anticipated annual salary range: $130,000–$145,000, plus eligibility for a bonus.• Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market factors, location, and other relevant considerations.Benefits & Perks• Health insurance.• Dental insurance.• Vision insurance.• Life insurance.• Short- and long-term disability insurance.• 401(k) plan with matching contributions.• Tuition assistance.• Employee referral bonus.• Generous paid time off.• Ten paid holidays.
