About the role

The Continuous Improvement Team works with all 39+ USCS facilities nationwide, providing analytic support and project management for large- and small-scale operational improvements. Each facility serves a diverse customer base, requiring efficient execution of varied operations.

The CIT Analyst Co-Op is a paid position based in the Camden, NJ office. The Co-Op will support existing warehouse technology, research and justify project finances, implement new technology, and explore industry solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Gain an understanding of the entire lifecycle of product in USCS facilities.
  • Become familiar with each warehouse department and their daily responsibilities.
  • Utilize USCS proprietary WMS system to pull reports for data analysis.
  • Perform basic QA testing on USCS proprietary WMS system.
  • Utilize current models and databases to identify facility opportunities.
  • Use Tableau to improve the delivery of current analyses.
  • Identify customer-specific programs suitable for automation.
  • Engage facility management to demonstrate labor savings or service improvements with layer picking, pick tunnels, and slotting.
  • Work with the automation team to understand implemented technologies.
  • Perform financial analysis on new technology.
  • Perform CIT assessments at select USCS facilities.
  • Conduct Lean Rapid Improvement events and assist in developing cost savings.
  • Lead the research and implementation of an advanced warehouse optimization tool.
  • Create training documentation and provide in-person training.
  • Bridge communication between system programmers and warehouse management.
  • Communicate with analysts across the company to address common issues.
  • Develop relationships and communicate effectively with C-suite executives and warehouse-level employees.
  • Work long hours in a cold environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a similar field (equivalent business experience will be considered).
  • Experience with Tableau/Power BI, Microsoft Access, Informatica, AS400, MS Office (especially Excel), and basic SQL.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, vision, and hearing for safety and productivity.
  • Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment.
  • Strong arithmetic and reading skills.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions, and company policies.
  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines.
  • May require physical effort associated with computer use or occasional standing, walking, or lifting for daily activities.
  • Additional work hours may be requested by management.
  • Operate a registered motor vehicle if part of daily tasks.
  • Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.

Additional Duties

  • Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance and communications.
  • Participate in staff and/or customer meetings as required.
  • Take initiative to prevent non-conformities related to products, processes, and quality systems.
  • Identify and report any issues related to product, processes, and/or quality.
  • Propose and implement solutions through appropriate channels.
  • Follow posted security procedures while in the building.
  • Participate in safety and educational training programs.

Pay

Hourly rate: $19.00/hr.

Schedule

  • Full-time, non-exempt, hourly position.
  • Biweekly pay.
  • 40-hour work week, with additional hours as requested by management.
  • Reports to: Continuous Improvement Supervisor.
  • Location: Camden, NJ (Camden office).
  • Department: Continuous Improvement.
  • Travel: None.
