Job Summary
St. Charles Community College seeks qualified individuals to teach non-credit/community education offerings on a part-time, project-based assignment. The college is committed to increasing the diversity of its faculty and staff to better prepare students for a global society.
Responsibilities
- Teach non-credit/community education courses in various areas including Fine Arts, Food and Cooking, Fitness & Dance, Home, Garden & Outdoor, Health & Wellness, Computer Technology, Industry / Professional Certifications, Technical Skills, Senior Enrichment, Languages, and Travel.
- Develop your own curriculum for classes that meet in the evenings and Saturdays.
- Work with Program Specialists to propose courses and workshops for the division.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in serving diverse student populations.
- Subject matter expertise is key, formal training/credentials and teaching experience are desirable but not required.
- Opportunities and program areas vary, and most classes are taught in the evenings and Saturdays.
- Class length, days, and times are flexible.
