About the Role

Henry Ford Health is seeking a contingent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Employee Health team. This role provides clinical support across multiple Henry Ford Health hospitals and Employee Health locations, working at the direction of the Medical Director to meet system-wide staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and management of work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Management of bloodborne pathogen exposures
  • Employee health screenings and vaccinations
  • Regulatory compliance in accordance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and CDC guidelines

Position Details

  • Location: Rotating sites across Henry Ford Health system
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
  • Setting: 100% Outpatient | Adult Patients
  • Call/Weekends: None
  • Status: Contingent

Qualifications

  • NP or PA graduate from an accredited program
  • Current Michigan licensure (or in the process of applying; proof of application required)
  • National certification: ANCC, AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA)
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required (may be obtained after hire)
  • Employee health, occupational health, urgent care, or internal medicine experience preferred
  • PA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
  • NP: DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs use their Michigan license number during the application process (Michigan CSL not held by NPs)
  • Strong assessment skills and sound clinical judgment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable rotating between sites and adapting to varied clinical environments

Education & Training

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
  • Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
