Responsibilities
- Create user-centered content that simplifies complex language and processes while maintaining consistent writing style and standards.
- Author and maintain assessments within the Content Platform, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with user needs.
- Maintain content for established products, capturing feature enhancements in customer communications such as in-app assistance, help files, and Resource Hub updates.
- Apply content architecture principles to structure content for easy reuse and publishing across multiple platforms, personas, and markets.
- Work effectively in agile environments, understanding agile tools and methodologies, and advising colleagues on agile practices.
- Manage relationships within project teams, communicating clearly to prioritize user needs and clarify mutual commitments.
- Use basic data analysis to make informed content decisions and summarize findings effectively.
- Research and interpret topics to develop ideas and solutions, utilizing AI tools to improve efficiency in drafting, editing, and brainstorming while ensuring accuracy and brand voice consistency.
- Write clear, user-friendly dialogue and microcopy following established voice and pattern guidelines.
- Collaborate with Product Leaders and Engineers to write UI content for sustaining product updates, including dialog boxes, microcopy, ghost text, labels, button copy, and toast/snackbar messages.
- Manage the content release calendar, write technical help files, and oversee the Help Center, Resource Hub, and Help File build process, including QA, deployment, and release.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/training in English, UX writing, technical communications, or journalism.
- Strong XML and HTML experience for creating and formatting content within software UI and help systems.
- Experience in content writing within product-focused or technical environments.
- Skilled in structuring language for XML and JSON formats.
- Experience with content management systems (CCMS) and agile development workflows.
- Proficiency using AI tools for content drafting and editing.
- Experience writing instructional, technical, and UX content tailored to audience needs.
- Background working in agile development with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineers.
- Domain knowledge in healthcare software, EHR, or PointClickCare is a plus.
- Self-directed with excellent communication and presentation skills, effective working both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with tools such as Paligo, Pendo, Jira, Aha!, Figma, Miro, and Smartsheet is a plus.
- Experience writing conversational microcopy and dialogue following established patterns and voice guidelines.
- Portfolio showcasing instructional content and UI microcopy samples.
Pay
Hourly pay rate: $43.10 - $47.86 USD
