About the Role
Our partner is looking for a Content Strategist, Contract based in United States. As a Content Strategist, you will own the strategy and execution of a broad portfolio of owned brand content channels. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on writing, editing, production, and editorial planning to build a strong thought leadership engine.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the owned brand content strategy across blogs, podcasts, web content, and long- and short-form formats, maintaining a consistent brand voice and differentiated point of view.
- Develop editorial calendars, write and edit content, coordinate production workflows, and consistently deliver high-quality work against deadlines.
- Partner with product marketing and go-to-market teams to translate business and campaign priorities into brand content strategies that support top-of-funnel awareness and thought leadership.
- Develop thought leadership content for executives and subject matter experts, transforming complex expertise into compelling content for blogs, podcasts, and other owned channels.
- Create channel and distribution strategies that expand the reach and effectiveness of owned content, working with demand generation, social, web, and related teams.
- Serve as the day-to-day executional lead for brand-focused agency programs, coordinating deliverables, timelines, and external partners.
- Collaborate across product marketing, demand generation, growth, and other marketing pods to align content with campaign priorities and audience needs.
- Monitor content performance, report on relevant metrics, and use data-driven insights to refine editorial priorities, channel strategies, and content mix.
- Establish and maintain content frameworks, storytelling guidelines, positioning principles, and channel best practices that improve consistency and quality across the organization.
- Lead the owned content strategy for the annual SUMMIT conference, including pre-event, onsite, and post-event editorial plans across podcasts, blogs, paid media, and other channels.
- Support event-facing content such as registration and event website copy, session titles and descriptions, presentation editing, booth messaging, wayfinding, promotional videos, and related materials.
- Partner with People, Talent Acquisition, HR, and other stakeholders on employer brand content, including employee stories, recruitment campaigns, careers content, and culture-focused storytelling.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in content strategy with a strong executional track record, including the ability to develop strategic plans and personally deliver high-quality content.
- Hands-on experience managing owned channels such as blogs, podcasts, and websites, including editorial planning, writing, editing, and production.
- Experience managing agency relationships and external content programs, with strong attention to deliverables, timelines, and quality.
- Strong understanding of how brand content contributes to top-of-funnel demand generation, brand awareness, and thought leadership.
- Ability to translate product marketing and go-to-market strategies into engaging, differentiated brand storytelling.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate content performance metrics and turn insights into practical strategic improvements.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams, marketing pods, and subject matter areas.
- Strong prioritization and project management capabilities, particularly when managing a broad range of content opportunities simultaneously.
- Exceptional writing, editing, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with executives, subject matter experts, marketing stakeholders, agencies, and external partners.
- Healthcare or B2B SaaS marketing experience is a plus but is not required.
Pay
Annualized base salary of $91,000–$98,000 for the US-based contract position.
Schedule
13-month contract opportunity.
