Who We Are
Four years ago, Dragonfruit set out to bring together some of the most talented visual storytellers, viral video strategists, and big-name clients, to change the way we create and consume on YouTube.
Since then, we've generated over a billion organic views and hundreds of millions of subscribers for creators like MrBeast, Ali Abdaal, Mark Manson, Chris Williamson, Codie Sanchez, and organizations like Y Combinator, e.l.f. Beauty, WHOOP, ClickUp, and the Center for Humane Technology.
Dragonfruit's Mission
Dragonfruit exists to help the world's most important ideas travel farther. We partner with experts, educators, scientists, founders, and creators to turn deep knowledge into media people actually want to watch, share, and act on. In a world where attention is often optimized for noise, we're building a company that rewards clarity, substance, and human impact, combining creative judgment, production craft, and AI-powered systems to help better information reach more people. Our mission is to build the creative infrastructure for a healthier, more thoughtful internet.
What You'll Do
- Run channel audits: assess client channels for performance patterns, gaps, and untapped opportunity.
- Conduct outlier video research: identify breakout videos, formats, and angles across the wider platform and adjacent niches.
- Build channel content strategy: shape the direction of each channel's slate rather than treating videos as one-offs.
- Contribute to ideation: bring video concepts to the team, grounded in what the research supports.
- Perform competitor analysis: track what comparable channels are doing and where the whitespace is.
- Analyze performance data: use view, retention, and CTR data to continuously refine ongoing channel strategy.
- Own title and thumbnail strategy: develop packaging recommendations informed by outlier research and audience behavior.
- Run A/B tests after publish: test titles and thumbnails post-launch, then feed the results back into future packaging decisions.
Skills and Qualifications
- YouTube-native strategist with a data-driven approach, ideally with experience supporting or growing multiple channels at once.
- Comfortable pulling and interpreting view, retention, and CTR data, and drawing conclusions from it that hold up.
- Fluent in outlier research tools such as viewstats, 1 of 10, or similar, and current on how the platform is shifting.
- Able to translate research into specific concept and packaging recommendations rather than general observations.
- Strong instincts for what makes a title and thumbnail work, and why one version beats another.
- Clear, concise communicator who can make a case to creative partners with the reasoning visible.
- Highly organized, able to hold several client channels in progress at once without losing the thread on any of them.
- Genuine interest in educational and purpose-driven content, and in the audiences it reaches.
