About the role
This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the OST Program Director. The role involves supervising Teachers Aides, implementing STEM and enrichment educational services, and instructing STEM and Literacy curriculum for OST program participants.
Responsibilities
- Implement STEM and enrichment educational services for OST program participants.
- Provide on-site day-to-day supervision of Teachers Aides in STEM activities and activities funded through the OST Program budget.
- Supervise assigned Teacher Aide and conduct staff evaluations per agency policies.
- Implement and instruct STEM and Literacy curriculum and activities.
- Develop lesson plans for review by the Educational Advisor.
- Meet weekly with the OST Program Director and Educational Advisor for supervision.
- Attend all staff meetings.
- Submit monthly observation reports to the Educational Advisor.
- Sign and complete after-school program participant reports to be sent to parents alongside school report cards.
- Administer pre- and post-tests for all STEM and Literacy activities.
- Work to achieve all OST programmatic goals to ensure program success.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in college or actively working toward a degree.
- One year of experience teaching a multi-level and age computer class.
- Experience creating and implementing a computer class curriculum.
