About the role

  • Capture photo and video content at events, programs, and throughout the club.
  • Create and edit social-first content, including Reels, Stories, and other short-form formats.
  • Maintain content calendars and organize digital assets for future use.
  • Track social media performance and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with departments across the club to identify stories, promote programs, and showcase the member experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, communications, social media management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience managing social media channels and engaging online communities.
  • Ability to capture quality photo and video content using a smartphone or basic camera equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence building relationships with staff and members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, social media scheduling tools, and project management software.
  • Experience in hospitality, fitness, recreation, membership, or lifestyle organizations.
  • Passion for fitness, sports, and community-driven storytelling.

What success looks like

  • Content is delivered accurately, on schedule, and in MAC's voice.
  • Social channels are active, engaging, and responsive.
  • Authentic, high-quality content is consistently captured and shared from across the club.
  • Strong partnerships across departments drive a steady flow of stories and member-focused content.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees.
  • Free access to exercise room and classes, climbing gym, and pools.
  • Free parking and discounted public transportation passes.
  • 401(k) program with employer match.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) access.
  • Discounts on club services and meals.
