Content Producer

About the role

The Content Producer will be responsible for the day-to-day production of WSTM/WSTQ/WTVH’s newscasts. They will work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors to generate and write stories and develop content for the web site.

Responsibilities

• Determine the content and flow of newscasts
• Work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories
• Develop content for the web site

Requirements

• Solid news judgment
• Compelling and accurate writing skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time
• Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Non-linear editing proficiency (Avid)
• Experience in a commercial TV station news producing role

Qualifications

• Journalism degree preferred

Skills

• Proficiency with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid)
• Experience with newsroom systems (i.e. iNews Experience)

Pay

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.00 - $21.00 an hour. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
