About the role

Amazon's Cross Channel Marketing team (XCM) is seeking a Content Platforms Manager to own how content is structured, governed, and used across our global digital asset management platform, The Hub, and the tools connected to it. Assets arrive continuously from internal, external, and regional sources and must be organized and ready to use. The role defines metadata and taxonomy models, standards for asset ingestion, automation and AI enforcement, and lifecycle rules, working with workflow, integration, infrastructure, campaign, creative, production, regional marketing teams, external agencies, and vendor partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the metadata and taxonomy model, including schemas, controlled vocabularies, naming standards, inheritance, and folder/structural logic.
  • Develop and maintain standards for asset ingestion from production, agency, and regional sources to ensure content arrives usable.
  • Drive automation that applies standards at scale, embedding enforcement in the platform.
  • Evaluate AI‑assisted enrichment and tagging against standards, tuning vocabularies and inputs.
  • Use platform reporting to serve teams across the business, providing recurring coverage and usage reports, ad‑hoc requests, and business reviews.
  • Set lifecycle standards covering versioning, retention, and long‑term discoverability.
  • Define the asset data the platform delivers outward, including identifiers and structure, and represent those standards to other Amazon technology teams and vendor partners.
  • Contribute to platform governance, including groups, permissions, and visibility rules.
  • Manage rollouts and pilots that bring new teams, regions, and content types onto the platform, from scoping through launch.
  • Drive adoption with campaign, creative, production, regional teams, and external agency partners through onboarding, training, and enablement.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non‑internship marketing experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross‑functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
  • Knowledge of metadata creation, management, and remediation best practices.
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • Experience with digital asset management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in information science, information technology, data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Orange Logic, including metadata configuration, reporting, and workflow.
  • Experience applying AI to content operations (automated metadata generation, content intelligence, agent‑based workflows) and assessing output trustworthiness.
  • Broad experience across DAM or MAM platforms such as Tenovos, Nuxeo, Bynder, Widen, or Adobe AEM.
  • Experience leading rollouts or change management across regions or external partners.
  • Experience with content data integrations, including identifier and mapping strategy.
  • Experience defining asset lifecycle standards, including versioning, retention, and discoverability.
  • Experience analyzing content data at volume to surface quality and coverage gaps.

Benefits

  • Health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription).
  • Basic Life & AD&D insurance and optional supplemental life plans.
  • Employee Assistance Program and mental health support.
  • Medical advice line.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • Adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Paid time off and parental leave.

Pay

  • Santa Monica, CA: $109,100 – $160,000 USD annually.
  • New York, NY: $120,000 – $179,600 USD annually.
