Content Marketing Manager
Benecard Services and our affiliated companies—Benecard Services, LLC, BeneCard PBF, and National Vision Administrators (NVA)—administer prescription drug, vision, and self-funded benefit programs nationwide. We are a full-service, in-house benefit administrator with headquarters in Lawrenceville, NJ; Bonita Springs, FL; and Clifton, NJ.
About the role
The Content Marketing Manager leads the strategy, development, and execution of content and communications for two key audiences: members and clients (external insurance account holders) and employees (internal associates). The role is primarily responsible for member-facing communications that support engagement, retention, education, and brand experience across digital, email, SMS, web, and campaign channels. It also supports employee communications that inform, engage, and align associates around company priorities, culture, and organizational initiatives. The Content Marketing Manager owns content planning, editorial operations, messaging development, stakeholder collaboration, and communication execution, ensuring content is accurate, consistent, audience-focused, and aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Member Communications
- Lead content strategy and communication planning for member-facing audiences.
- Develop content for member emails, SMS campaigns, newsletters, product updates, educational materials, member portal content, and engagement initiatives.
- Create messaging that improves member awareness, engagement, retention, and overall experience.
- Partner with Member Services, Clinical, Product, and Operations teams to support member communication needs.
- Ensure member communications are clear, audience-centric, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Employee Communications
- Develop and execute internal communication plans in partnership with Human Resources, People & Culture, and business leaders.
- Create employee-facing communications, including company updates, leadership announcements, benefits communications, recognition programs, culture initiatives, and organizational change communications.
- Support employee engagement by delivering timely, relevant, and informative communications that reinforce company priorities and values.
- Content Strategy & Editorial Operations
- Own editorial planning, content calendars, and communication schedules across member and employee channels.
- Manage content development from concept through publication, including stakeholder reviews, approval workflows, and revisions.
- Establish and maintain content standards, templates, style guidelines, and messaging frameworks.
- Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and messaging across all communications.
- Serve as the central point of coordination for content-related requests and cross-functional communication initiatives.
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Content Marketing on enterprise-wide, sensitive, or high-visibility communications.
- Website & Digital Content
- Own website and member portal content strategy, messaging, and information architecture.
- Write, edit, and optimize website content to improve user experience, engagement, and SEO performance.
- Partner with Marketing Operations on publishing, site updates, and content enhancements.
- Support campaign execution through digital content development across web, email, and related channels.
- Performance & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze content performance across web, email, SMS, and internal communication channels.
- Use engagement data and audience insights to improve messaging effectiveness and communication strategies.
- Identify opportunities to enhance content performance, audience engagement, and channel effectiveness.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in content marketing, communications, content strategy, copywriting, or digital marketing.
- Experience developing customer/member (external) and employee (internal) communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing editorial calendars and content workflows.
- Experience with content management systems (WordPress preferred).
- Experience developing email marketing and digital communication campaigns.
- Understanding of SEO and digital content best practices.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools, including Google Analytics and email marketing platforms.
- Basic graphic design experience using Canva or similar tools (preferred).
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM onsite in Nashville, TN.
