About the Role
We are seeking an experienced World Languages Content Manager / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support statewide World Languages initiatives through content leadership, curriculum development, instructional resource evaluation, and educator training.
Responsibilities
- Lead World Languages projects and initiatives as a subject matter expert
- Develop and maintain instructional materials evaluation rubrics
- Review instructional resources for quality, standards alignment, and usability
- Develop and manage advisory panel selection and application processes
- Create training materials and facilitate advisory panel training
- Support implementation of World Languages standards and instructional shifts
- Develop instructional focus documents, guidance materials, and presentations
- Design and deliver professional learning sessions and workshops
- Collaborate with educators, district leaders, department staff, and stakeholders
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, reports, and communications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in World Languages, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Linguistics, or related field
- Expertise in World Languages instruction, curriculum, assessment, and standards
- Experience developing instructional resources and professional learning materials
- Experience facilitating educator trainings, meetings, or presentations
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and with diverse stakeholder groups
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field
- State-level, district-level, or large-scale education initiative experience
- Experience developing evaluation rubrics or review processes
- Knowledge of current World Languages teaching and learning practices
- Advisory group, committee, or educator work-group experience
