About the role
The Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is seeking a contractor to assist with the organizational compliance with Colorado's new Digital Accessibility legislation and related clarifying laws.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a program plan for digital accessibility compliance.
- Outline key activities, milestones, and timelines for achieving and maintaining compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-divisional teams including Technology and Innovation, Communication and Engagement, Public Services, and Training.
- Provide cross-divisional support and facilitation for teams across the organization.
- Manage content and users in a CMS, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Write requirements for content projects and tools, focusing on keyword placement and SEO best practices.
- Implement and manage technology solutions for digital accessibility.
- Facilitate digital accessibility training sessions and workshops.
- Conduct accessibility assessments and create remediation plans and tracking systems.
- Develop and implement governance structures for ongoing monitoring and support.
- Make recommendations for continuous improvement and support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Knowledge of managing content and users in a CMS.
- Experience writing requirements for content projects and tools.
- Adept at keyword placement and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency with popular content management systems.
- Social media management experience.
