This internship supports strategic communications that advance the mission of providing free children's mental health resources.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and proofread content for blogs, websites, email newsletters, and educational resources
- Develop impactful stories that showcase the Foundation's programs and community impact
- Assist with content project management and coordination
- Research mental health topics, industry trends, and audience insights
- Track and report digital and social media performance metrics
- Support marketing campaigns, community events, and outreach initiatives
- Contribute ideas and collaborate with the team to achieve organizational goals
- Gather and analyze data; run pre-defined queries and format reports
- Compile and build presentation materials to support projects, new initiatives, or data findings
- Attend weekly group development sessions and actively participate in all intern events
- Apply strategic, system-level thinking and operational excellence techniques for problem solving
- Perform clerical office coordination and administrative tasks as needed
- Collaborate directly with manager and provide recommendations to improve department or business unit
Requirements
- Enrollment in High School or an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work within teams and maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment
- Demonstrates sound judgment and ability to apply logical and critical thought processes
- Displays a positive presence and interacts with all levels of staff, outside vendors, consultants, and physicians
- Previous work experience in the medical field (preferred)
