Container Driver Non CDL

About the role

A Container Delivery Driver – Non CDL is responsible for safely operating a vehicle and providing prompt, courteous and complete container delivery and removal services for residential and/or commercial customers. The role ensures the vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards prior to operation, adheres to all Company, state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to ensure timely repairs of any defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order; report any safety issues.
• Safely operate a truck along designated routes or within the yard to delivery areas; read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as identified.
• Operate manual and automatic controls to lift and load containers at designated facilities.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service of all customer routes.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.
• Clean areas around accidental waste spills while adhering to all applicable safety standards and policies.
• Monitor vehicle condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR), and other necessary reports.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.30 to $27.87, which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
