Container Driver - Non CDL

About the role

A Container Delivery Driver – Non‑CDL is responsible for safely operating a vehicle and providing prompt, courteous, and complete container delivery and removal services for residential and/or commercial customers. The driver must ensure the vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards, adhere to all Company, state, and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections in accordance with Company policy (tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, controls).
• Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate a truck along designated routes, within the yard, and to delivery areas; read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as assigned.
• Operate manual and automatic controls to lift and load containers at designated facilities, following Company safety policies.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service of all routes.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.
• Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to all applicable safety standards and policies.
• Continuously monitor vehicle condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Report (VCR), and other reports as necessary.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
