About the role
A Container Delivery Driver – Non CDL safely operates a vehicle to provide prompt, courteous, and complete container delivery and removal services for residential and/or commercial customers. The role ensures vehicle compliance with company safety standards, adherence to all regulations, and completion of daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs).
Responsibilities
- Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order; report any safety issues on standard reports.
- Safely operate a truck along designated routes or within the yard, following route sheets, maps, and customer assignments from dispatchers or supervisors.
- Operate manual and automatic controls in accordance with company safety policies to lift and load containers at designated facilities.
- Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others daily to ensure timely service of all routes.
- Perform minor repairs to containers on-site or in the container yard.
- Clean areas around accidental waste spills while adhering to all safety standards and policies.
- Continuously monitor the vehicle’s condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Complete required route/productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR), and other necessary reports.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
