Join our healthcare team as a Contact Center Representative! We are seeking an organized and compassionate professional to foster relationships with patients, parents, and guardians by addressing their care needs through prompt and effective communication.

About the role

This is a full-time, fully remote position after completing a 5-week hybrid training program. Training is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, and requires attendance at our Lake Park Building in West Valley City, Utah. Time off during training is not accommodated. Post-training, shifts are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with some holidays required.

All necessary equipment—laptop, monitors, docking station, headset, keyboard, and mouse—will be provided by Intermountain Healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and establish courteous, professional connections with patients via omni-channel communications.
  • Effectively identify and resolve patient requests, including scheduling/registration, billing/payor inquiries, and medical requests.
  • Document essential information using the electronic medical record (EMR) and coordinate with clinical care teams to provide seamless patient solutions.
  • Use analytical skills and technical resources to anticipate and resolve patient requests.
  • Contribute to and support enterprise productivity and quality measures by participating in planning, communication, and team initiatives.

Requirements

  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and self-motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally in a call center environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of customer service experience in a hospital or medical office.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).

Physical Requirements

Pay

Entry rate: $18.39–$24.99 per hour, depending on experience. The hourly range for this position is $18.85–$25.61.
