About the role

Max's is a fine jewelry boutique specializing in artisan-made items. We also sell gift items and home decor, and offer fine specialty chocolates from around the world. Jewelry sales account for more than 75% of our total sales volume. Our jewelry is unique due to its limited distribution in the Twin Cities and Minnesota, and because it is often made by the designer or a small team of artisan jewelers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other sales associates to provide top-notch customer service
• Work in a "no-pressure" environment to ensure satisfied customers
• Be passionate about outstanding design and quality craftsmanship
• Show knowledge of the products sold and be able to convey product information to customers
• Take direction from the manager and assist with daily tasks such as store set-up and break-down, restocking supplies, and handling opening and closing tasks
• Be proficient with the automated point-of-sale system
• Have experience in high-end/luxury clothing design or sales, home decor design or sales, photography, or art gallery sales
• Have experience in social media, including creating content and understanding social media platforms

Requirements

• Previous high-end retail sales and/or customer service experience
• Ability to work on Saturdays

Qualifications

Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment, possess excellent communication skills, be energetic and friendly, and have a positive outlook and demeanor.

Skills

Knowledge of the products sold, ability to communicate effectively, proficiency with the automated point-of-sale system, and experience in social media are preferred.

Schedule

Part-time employees will be scheduled for approximately 12-24 hours/week, and are required to work at least 2-3 Saturdays per month. Those closing the store typically leave between 6:30 - 7:00.

Pay

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour, with a quarterly bonus based on performance.
