About the role

The Department Consumer Services - SFV - School Age 11 Supervision position at North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) involves providing supervision to Consumer Services Supervisors/Managers, advocating for individuals and families, and coordinating services. This role requires frequent home visits and out-of-office meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provides information, advocacy, and service arrangements for consumers and families.
  • Develops and monitors program plans for individuals, adjusting them as necessary.
  • Identifies and coordinates services for individuals and their families.
  • Documents, completes forms, and reports in compliance with regulations and NLACRC policies.
  • Serves as an advocate for individuals served by community agencies.
  • Schedules and attends interdisciplinary meetings with individuals, family members, service providers, advocates, etc.
  • Identifies and addresses barriers to service delivery using culturally sensitive strategies.
  • Rotates as an officer-of-the-day, assisting co-workers with special projects, unique situations, and providing case coverage as needed.
  • Provides emergency on-call services when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field with at least two years of related experience.
  • A Master’s degree in a related subject may be substituted for experience.
  • Understanding of family systems and person-centered planning.
  • Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Outlook.

Compensation

  • Non-exempt position.
  • Regular Salary: $26.86 - $37.96 per hour, plus $69.24 per bi-weekly pay period for bilingual services.
  • Starting salary is typically between the $26.86 and $29.65 of the range, depending on internal equity and experience.
  • Base Pay Rate / Salary Range Information: Actual amount offered within the posted salary/pay rate range will depend on a variety of factors, including degree obtained/education, experience, skills and abilities, and other relevant job-related factors.
