Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist

About the role

The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist will be part of the Consumer Lending Servicing team. This position will process all types of consumer loan servicing requests, ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and quality member service. They will also maintain existing member relationships, provide excellent member service, and efficiently manage operational activities.

Responsibilities

• Process and support all types of consumer loan maintenance requests within established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Proactively strive to comply with all agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of operational policies and guidelines, products, and services.
• Respond to all phone and email inquiries from internal partners and external members timely, courteously, and professionally.
• Research and resolve any consumer loan servicing compliance issues.
• Work with third parties to provide and/or obtain accurate information to service consumer loans.
• Works in collaboration with other team members and departments.
• Ensure reports or tasks are completed and all technical issues are resolved.
• Additional job-related projects and duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• 2 years work experience in business or finance.
• Knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to the consumer lending industry (i.e. ECOA, etc.) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer service skills with a high attention to detail.
• Must be able to quickly adjust to shifting priorities and act with urgency.
• Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy.
• Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to solve problems and create out of the box solutions.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Compensation Information
