About the Role
This Consumer Loan Officer is responsible for originating consumer loans including car loans, personal loans, etc. Coordinating with internal departments to gain referrals and cross sell bank products.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at one of our Branches in the Wasatch Front.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years lending experience.
- Understanding of consumer loan documentation and consumer credit analysis.
- Excellent computer skills in a Windows environment.
- BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Customer service focused attitude and experience in consumer sales.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Market consumer products to existing bank customers as well as generate new relationships. This will be done through coordination with branch personnel, commercial relationship managers, private banking, etc. Effort must also be made to generate leads through external sources.
- Receives, reviews, and process applications. Interviews applicant to develop information concerning their needs, desires, and earnings to assist in determining whether the loan will be an acceptable risk; obtains and analyzes pertinent financial and credit data. Adheres to all procedures and applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and ordinances.
- Proactively provide and implement new solutions and ideas for continuing improvement of the consumer loan process. Self-starter, ability to work with limited supervision.
- Develops and implements a business plan for increasing consumer loan production, maintains and develops reporting to track referrals, pipeline, sales goals, etc.
- Participates in an active and ongoing discussion in regard to rates, guidelines, strategy, policy and procedure as it relates to consumer lending.
