Position Summary

The Consumer & Life Sciences Regulatory Specialist provides regulatory support for customers across the consumer and life sciences markets. This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting regulatory and functional requirements related to ingredient and product data.

Essential Tasks of the Position

  • Maintain and manage regulatory product classifications and compliance documentation
  • Ensure products, dietary supplements, and food ingredients meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements in domestic and international markets
  • Provide regulatory support for products used in food, personal care, pharmaceutical, and life sciences applications
  • Review marketing materials and product claims to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Secure and maintain product registrations, certifications, and supporting documentation as required
  • Maintain current knowledge of FDA, GFSI, FSMA, and other applicable consumer and life sciences regulatory frameworks
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment and documentation accuracy for regulated end markets
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies, providing guidance to internal stakeholders as needed
  • Support compliance initiatives related to DOT, REACH, OSHA, HACCP, HARPC, TSCA, and related regulations
  • Maintain familiarity with GRAS certifications and exemptions
  • Monitor changes in legislation and assess potential impacts on the company’s product portfolio
  • Support nutrition labeling compliance and related documentation
  • Lead and support special projects as assigned by the Compliance Director and Chief Compliance Officer

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food, nutritional, pharmaceutical, or related industries. Experience with hazardous materials regulations and compliance frameworks such as DOT, REACH, OSHA, HACCP, and HARPC preferred.
  • Skills: Intermediate level of expertise in MS Office and Contact Management Software. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Proactive problem solver. Highly motivated.
