Consumer Experience Instructional Designer

About the role

Designs and develops engaging learning activities and compelling course content to enhance retention and transfer rate. Collaborates with subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs. Develops instructional materials such as manuals, guides, and multimedia content. Applies instructional design theories, practice, and methods to create effective learning experiences. Integrates multimedia elements like videos, graphics, and audio to enhance learning. Creates assessments and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes and effectiveness. Continuously updates and improves course content based on feedback and learning analytics. Manages and organizes course materials and resources for easy access and use. Provides support and guidance to learners throughout the course. Other duties as assigned. Utilizes a variety of instructional techniques and formats, including simulations, role-playing, and interactive activities. Conducts research and analysis to ensure content is relevant and up-to-date.

Schedule

Full time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Remote.

• Provide support and guidance to learners
• Utilize varied instructional techniques (simulations, role-playing, interactive activities)
• Conduct research and analysis to ensure content relevance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Training, or related discipline (Required)
• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or similar (Preferred)
• 2+ years of learning design and development experience (Required)
• 5+ years of learning design and development experience (Preferred)
• Change management experience (Preferred)
• LMS experience (Preferred)

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of adult learning principles and multiple instructional design processes
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and creative curriculum design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional written, verbal, critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills
• Flexible mindset and adaptable nature with ability to rapidly change course based on business needs
• Ability to develop workflows and business procedures
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements
• Advanced instructional software development skills in Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative software suite tools
• Experience working in agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environments
• Experience with audio/video editing and animation software
• Business and ROI-minded, performance improvement driven
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project, Visio, and other planning and presentation software

Preferred skills

• Experience working in contact center environments
• Experience conducting instructor-led training, either live or via webcast
• Advanced skillset with SharePoint platform site development
• Experience working with Epic EMR System

Pay

$54,680.66 – $101,717.57
