About the role

The position serves as the credit union’s primary contact for all consumer and equity loan maintenance, vehicle title processing, and insurance-related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform equity and consumer loan maintenance in Symitar per member, Risk, or Compliance requests, ensuring accurate modification of loan and member records.
  • Assist in research requests related to loan maintenance and vehicle titles within organizational and vendor systems; problem-solve and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Analyze, research, and resolve escalated issues, providing clarity, direction, and follow-through to members and staff.
  • Support Compliance and Consumer Lending Operations with system clean-up and validation to maintain compliance for consumer and equity loans in Symitar.
  • Handle total loss, GAP, and Debt Cancellation claims, working directly with insurance companies, vendors, and members to collect documents, research loan history, and meet timeframes to mitigate risk.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims to Lenders Protection and Allied Solutions to minimize deficiency losses for the credit union.
  • Administer premiums, refunds, and insurance product billing for Allied Solutions, Minnesota Life, Arizona Group, and Assurance Plus.
  • Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions by debiting or crediting accounts and manage billing issues with vendors and accounting.
  • Ensure vendors are properly charging for services during monthly reconciliation.
  • Manage vehicle lien perfection for consumer and commercial loans using vehicles as collateral, including working with the commercial team to process and perfect titling.
  • Collaborate with AZ MVD and Authorized Third Parties to assess member and lien perfection risks, reporting trends that may impact loan processing.
  • Adhere to AZ MVD and AZFCU compliance and regulatory requirements for vehicle lien placement and titling.
  • Assess credit union and member risk for system maintenance exceptions, vehicle titling exceptions, and system issues; problem-solve complex situations involving internal teams or members.
  • Serve as a consumer loan Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Symitar, working with Consumer Lending Operations on PowerOn and Symitar testing, maintenance, and process improvements.
  • Review and recommend solutions for department and credit union-wide processes to enhance member and employee experience.
  • Ensure adherence to credit union policies and standard business practices.
  • Maintain professional standards and uphold Arizona Financial’s values.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a financial institution.

Skills

  • Proficiency in computer systems and typing at 45 words per minute.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations.
  • Ability to write procedure manuals and business correspondence, including responses to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to use system resources from multiple departments to answer questions and resolve problems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with members and internal customers regarding complex inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience with Consumer Loans.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work environment.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance; use hands for typing and handling documents; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
  • Employees working from home must have business operational internet and a dedicated workspace for video calls or chat messaging.

Pay

$24/hour.
