Consumer Directed Services (CDS) Tax Specialist
About the role
The CDS Tax Support Specialist manages tax associated tasks under Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Consumer Directed Services. Duties include obtaining tax IDs for the Medicaid consumer/employer, organizing and maintaining tax documents, coordinating tax matters with branch staff, payroll vendor, and corporate support center, communicating with consumers regarding tax matters, utilizing Point of Care to track discharges, analyzing tax letters for appropriate next steps, ensuring compliance with state regulations, completing required job role training, participating in staff meetings, and timely submission of timekeeping and paperwork. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- One or more years of working with CDS tax related services and computer experience preferred
- One or more years of general office and computer experience required
