Basic Functions And General Responsibilities
- Provide training to participants regarding their responsibilities and requirements of the CDS program.
- Aid participants as needed with technical assistance for the purpose of training attendants regarding their responsibilities and requirements of the CDS program.
- Maintain compliance of participants for CDS through monthly contacts as required.
- Set up and troubleshoot electronic visit verification and provide training to participants and their attendant employees as requested.
- Document all contacts with participants in appropriate databases or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and timely completion.
- Ensure services comply with regulatory authority, funding source, accreditation, and legal requirements.
- Report suspected instances of abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the appropriate state department.
- Assess customer satisfaction by conducting participant satisfaction surveys or other required methods.
- Effectively and efficiently use computers or mobile devices to input, access, modify, or output information.
Outreach
- Participate in outreach, networking, public presentations, and other means to educate the public about the services provided by Life Unlimited.
- Serve on committees, as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
- Ability to work in a role that is largely sedentary.
- Sufficient knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security benefits, Veterans benefits, and community resources, in order to refer people with disabilities to the appropriate resources.
- Ability to travel, valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English – both in writing and orally.
- Must not have been convicted of any disqualifying felony and must not have been substantiated for abuse or neglect in the state of Missouri, as recorded by the Department of Mental Health’s Employee Disqualification List.
- Must demonstrate safe practices in all areas and exemplify positive professional standards.
- Must obtain a Class E driver’s license during new hire orientation– must carry minimum coverage applicable by law for auto insurance.
