Consumer and Small Business Collateral Specialist II
About the role
The Consumer and Small Business Collateral Specialist II at Elevations Credit Union is responsible for reviewing consumer and small business loan documents to ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan files and corresponding loan collateral. They also manage the maintenance and storage of digital and physical consumer and business documentation and credit files. They proactively contact and work with members, internal departments, vendors, partners, and government jurisdictions to complete collateral lien filings and releases for consumer and small business loans.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent complex research and problem-solving using loan and process knowledge.
- Manage the maintenance and storage of digital and physical consumer and business documentation and credit files.
- Proactively contact and work with members, dealers, and tax office personnel as necessary.
- Manage payoff request process.
- Release recorded documents held for collateral.
- Work with other business lines to ensure accuracy of data and ensure lien perfection.
- Review consumer loan documents and loan bookings processed by others for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform general problem solving using basic knowledge of loan types and processes.
- Ensure account accuracy, proper storage of member information and adhere to privacy standards and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Minimum one year of prior experience in a loan file and collateral management. Demonstrated analytical abilities, decision making and problem-solving skills. Proficient in data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Internet. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under time constraints and deadlines. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Provides knowledgeable, accurate, professional, and personalized service with a positive attitude to all members and stakeholders through phone, email, and chat. Remains flexible and supportive as department needs arise.

Pay
The person hired into this position will likely earn between $21.44 and $26.78 hourly rate, plus annual bonus. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Elevations Credit Union - Broomfield Basecamp Hybrid: Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.
