About the Company

Premier Nutrition Company (PNC) is one of the fastest-growing companies in the proactive wellness space, leading the category of protein shakes and powders. We make the brands Premier Protein and Dymatize and are part of BellRing Brands (NYSE: BRBR). Founded in 1997, our success is driven by a simple, powerful formula: a purpose-driven organization—Changing Lives with Good Energy—where employees are supported with autonomy, connection, and belonging. This regenerative culture has earned us recognition as a Great Place to Work™ for the 9th consecutive year (2025) and a top-12 ranking on Fortune Magazine’s Best Workplaces list for seven years running.

We foster an environment where adults are treated like adults, empowered to do their best work alongside remarkable colleagues. Our vibrant culture includes year-round half-day Fridays, in-office massages, free lunches and snacks, dogs in the office, culture celebrations, 6% 401k match after one year, generous paid family leave, bonus eligibility for all positions, volunteer days, charitable donation matching, no employee handbook, no dress code, coaching conversations instead of performance reviews, and walking meetings.

We seek individuals who thrive in this environment, embody a Challenger Mindset—taking smart risks, displaying relentless hunger, and seeing themselves as builders—and who choose action over analysis paralysis.

About the Role

This role focuses on consumption forecasting and analytics, driving the performance of Premier Nutrition Corp. Brands through data-driven insights. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, IT, investor relations, international teams, and external partners to develop and refine forecasting techniques, ensuring accurate and actionable reporting for growth decisions.

The work environment is dynamic and hybrid, with in-office collaboration expected Tuesday through Thursday. Our Emeryville headquarters is a modern 133,000-square-foot space featuring spacious work areas, a gym with a rock-climbing wall, a café, free parking, and ample greenery.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly and Quarterly Consumption Forecast Reporting (75% of time):
    • Update and maintain the consumption forecast to support business applications.
    • Demonstrate expertise in brand-specific forecasting and analytics to predict consumption trends.
    • Continuously improve forecast efficiency and accuracy through root cause analysis, methodology evaluation, and implementation of enhancements.
    • Challenge assumptions and pressure-test forecasts using historical data, internal/external benchmarks, and cross-functional insights.
    • Actively participate in cross-functional project meetings, providing forecasting expertise and data-driven recommendations.
    • Partner in quarterly and annual Strategic Plan development, Brand AOP, and consumption forecast ownership, explaining business impacts and recommending strategies for improvement.
  • Analytics & Reporting (15% of time):
    • Develop and automate a forecast reporting “toolkit,” including dashboards and scenario planning.
    • Collaborate with IT to ensure data governance, integration, and aggregation.
    • Create standardized forecasting input templates for cross-functional teams.
    • Assist in planning and executing quarterly business performance reviews.
    • Serve as the forecasting voice in HQ meetings with cross-functional partners.
  • General Responsibilities (10% of time):
    • Attend meetings and presentations.
    • Participate in company-wide activities and events.
    • Engage in impromptu conversations with colleagues.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as email, calendaring, and expense reports.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a research-related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or with an analytics supplier.
  • Demonstrated expertise in forecasting methods and leading forecasting initiatives.
  • Experience using syndicated/custom CPG data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana, Numerator, Mintel) for analysis and insights.
  • Practical knowledge of working with disparate data sources and data harmonization.
  • Strong influencing skills to align internal and external stakeholders.
  • Embodiment of a Challenger Mindset: intellectual curiosity, agility, and a focus on long-term impact over short-term wins.

If you don’t meet 100% of these requirements but have a growth mindset and thrive on innovation, we encourage you to apply.

Key Capabilities & Traits

  • Be a builder: transform the status quo and find smarter, faster ways to achieve results.
  • Start and end with the consumer: prioritize consumer-centric decision-making.
  • Embody a strategic mindset: challenge assumptions and seek new opportunities.
  • We are better together: collaborate and value diverse perspectives.
  • Challenge ideas respectfully: engage in constructive debate to drive better outcomes.

You’ll Thrive Here If…

  • You want to shape and nurture an amazing work culture.
  • You’re comfortable being natural, casual, open, and playful at work.
  • You dislike siloed thinking and big egos.
  • You prioritize getting things done efficiently.
  • You balance friendliness, vulnerability, and professionalism in challenging situations.
  • You can focus deeply on projects that drive meaningful impact.

This Role May Not Be for You If…

  • You prefer a highly structured, rule-bound environment.
  • You thrive in hierarchical, command-and-control management systems.
  • You enjoy building processes, systems, or governance for bureaucracy’s sake.
  • Ambiguity or experimentation makes you uncomfortable.
  • You resolve interpersonal conflicts via instant messaging or passive aggression.
  • You’re easily distracted by “shiny objects” instead of focusing on results.

Pay

The expected pay scale for this role is $135,000 to $155,000, varying based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic area, and internal equity.

Interview Process

  • A 30-minute phone chat with a Talent Acquisition team member to discuss your background and answer questions.
  • A concise series of 1:1 interviews (in-person or video) with the hiring manager, team members, and a cross-functional colleague. Panel interviews are avoided to allow unique, tailored questions.
  • A case study or job task may be included to simulate real work, with a small panel for feedback.
  • Post-interview, the team conducts a consultative review, with interviewers providing a strong “yes” or “no” vote and supporting rationale. A bias blocker ensures fair, objective decision-making.
  • The hiring manager makes the final decision, and an offer is extended if you’re the right fit.
