Consulting Technical Analyst

About the role

The Consulting Technical Analyst (CTA) will be a resource to the technical personnel assigned to market and/or division responsibilities and coordinates consistent support of technical services and implementation activity within their scope. This individual also assists in organization of highly complex issues regarding technical services, assists in facility technical projects, assists in developing strategies for training and tools for Technical Services across the division and participates in onboarding new technical staff.

The CTA champions standardization, utilization, optimization, and use of best practices in Technical Services. The CTA participates in project planning, strategic planning, and supplements on-site support to technical resources, as needed. The CTA understands and supports a broad range of ITG equipment, defines standards, and creates supporting technical documentation. The CTA provides advanced hands-on technical support across a broad range of technical areas.

Responsibilities

The CTA actively identifies problems and escalates to the appropriate team. The CTA adheres to and supports HCA IT policies and procedures. The CTA recommends process changes that improve implementation, maintenance and support of facility-based IT equipment.

Requirements

• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Valid driver’s license required. Low Voltage license preferred.
• WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 years of relevant work experience – HealthCare setting preferred.

Skills

• Ability to maintain and upgrade of all life safety systems (hardware and software).
• Able to maintain an accurate inventory of all in-use life safety equipment, maintain service records, upgrades, and warranty information.
• Knowledge of Fire, Burglary, Surveillance Cameras, Digital Video Recorders, Access Control Systems, Intercom, Knowledge of Nurse Call systems (Rauland/Hillrom) preferred.
• MDF/IDF, Audio, Security/HVAC Pressure Sensors, all related cabling, and other systems.
• Experience working with MEP guidelines.
• Technical and computer skills.
• Effective communications skills (written/oral)
• At least two years of practical, on-the-job electrical engineering experience, performing electrical engineer duties including development of concept design, preparation of construction documents, and construction inspections in the areas of utility (power & telecommunication); electrical service calculations; site, building exterior, and interior lighting; power distribution; and low voltage systems (data, voice, intercom/paging, nurse call, security, fire alarm & detection).
