Role Summary

Lead Cognizant’s AUD program, driving Esri Utility Network migration, AUD configuration, and enterprise design standards on a Microsoft Azure-based GIS stack. Establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) for design and data governance, ensuring compliance, quality, and accelerated delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery for AUD/UN initiatives: planning, solutioning, build, testing, rollout, and warranty support.

  • Define and enforce design standards, CU libraries, symbology, and configuration baselines for AUD + ArcGIS Pro.

  • AUD & Utility Network Enablement: Configure AUD (AutoCAD Map 3D), integrate with ArcGIS Utility Network, validate attribute/network rules, and automate BOM generation.

  • Data Migration & Integration: Manage GIS data readiness and migration from ArcFM/Smallworld; integrate with ADMS/OMS, EAM, CIS, BI, and grid analytics.

  • Cloud & DevOps: Operate Azure-based GIS/AUD stack; enforce DevOps practices in Azure DevOps and delivery tracking in Smartsheet.

  • Stakeholder Management: Align with client business and IT leadership on roadmaps, investment cases, and change management.

  • Quality & Compliance: Embed automation in SIT/UAT; adhere to Cognizant Cloud Security and Acceptable Use standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years in Utilities consulting; 5+ years leading AUD/ArcGIS transformation programs.

  • Hands-on experience with AUD (AutoCAD Map 3D), ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Utility Network, and Azure cloud.

  • Expertise in defining design standards, CU libraries, attribute/network rules for UN implementations.

  • Strong integration background with ADMS/OMS, EAM, CIS, BI/Reporting.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience with similar IOUs;

  • Familiarity with ArcFM/Smallworld conversions;

  • Experience establishing AUD/UN CoE and managing multi-vendor ecosystems;

  • Awareness of DER/grid modernization contexts.

KPIs

  • Cycle-time reduction for design packages (>20–50%).

  • Manual data entry elimination and BOM accuracy improvement (~95% reduction).

  • Data quality and defect leakage reduction in SIT/UAT.

Tools & Platforms

  • AUD, AutoCAD Map 3D, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Utility Network, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet;

  • Integrations with Hexagon ADMS/OMS, CGI OpenGrid EAM, CIS, BI.

Travel

Willingness to travel extensively as client needs require.

Required Education & Work Authorization

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or master’s strongly preferred.

  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary & Compensation

Applications will be accepted until June 12th, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $98,853.00 – $158,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
