Consulting Engineer
About the role
Westinghouse is seeking an engineer to work with the Projects Team (Subsequent License Renewal) at Surry Nuclear Plant in Surry, VA. The role involves design and fabrication of piping supports and rigging analysis, as well as design verifications and owner reviews.
Responsibilities
- Provide civil engineering support for various large projects at Surry Nuclear Plant, including crane replacements, feedwater heater replacements, building modifications, and large piping replacements.
- Schedule major engineering segments of complex projects to meet long-range design development schedule goals.
- Attend station schedule and outage meetings.
Requirements
- 10+ years of design engineering experience in civil/structural engineering.
- A B.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, with an M.S. degree preferred.
- A high school diploma is a minimum requirement.
- Familiarity with standard civil engineering codes.
- Experience with large projects and 10 CFR 50.59 screen preparation and review.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of civil/structural engineering analysis, evaluations, and component design.
- High school diploma is a minimum requirement.

Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $80,000 - $100,000.
Schedule
Full-time position, 12 months.
