About the role

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Faculty Physician at St. Joseph Hospital Medical Center will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and management to hospitalized patients, focusing on improving their mental health outcomes and supporting their overall medical recovery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver critical consultation-liaison psychiatric services across diverse inpatient settings, including emergency department, intensive care unit, medical-psychiatric unit, and neurorehabilitation patients.
• Coverage includes the emergency department, intensive care unit, medical-psychiatric unit, and neurorehabilitation patients at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC).
• Collaborate with specialists at the Barrow Neurological Institute to manage complex neuropsychiatric illnesses.
• Provide consultation-liaison psychiatric services to a broad variety of patients at SJHMC.

Requirements

• Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona.
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry (ideally with additional certification/eligibility in consultation-liaison psychiatry, brain injury medicine, or neuropsychiatry).
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency.
• A passion for providing clinically excellent care.

Pay and Schedule

The posted compensation range is $230,011 - $441,522/year, reflecting the reasonable estimate of what CommonSpirit Health might pay for this position based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
