About the role

Our behavioral health practice is seeking a psychiatrist to supervise our resident physicians at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise resident physicians at LewisGale Medical Center
• Provide 1:4 call schedule
• Share weekend inpatient call coverage with teams
• Lead supervision of APP support
• Supervise the First Responders Program
• Manage the Direct Admission option for community providers

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Virginia
• Superb communication skills
• A passion for training the next generation of physician leaders

Qualifications

• Experience in psychiatric practice
• Experience in supervising residents and APPs
• Experience in managing inpatient and outpatient services

Pay

$114,005 - $283,400 / year

Established First Responders Program that allows first responders to access behavioral health services directly through LewisGale without having to go through the ER. Comprehensive care services include a fast-track option that allows patients to move quickly from the ER into our inpatient setting.
