Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist - Assistant Professor

About the role

This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital. It supports an evolving and innovative model of care for the Complexity Intervention Unit (CIU), a 16-bed medical unit providing care for patients with complex co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions. The patients are divided into two 8-patient multidisciplinary treatment teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation-liaison psychiatry services to patients on the CIU
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Contributes to the development of an innovative care model for the CIU
• Teaches and mentors residents and fellows in psychiatry
• Participates in research and academic activities

Requirements

• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine
• State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution
