Responsibilities
- Support portfolio planning and intake processes by helping connect incoming demand, estimates, funding needs, capacity constraints, and delivery plans into a consistent view for leaders.
- Develop, maintain, and improve reporting and insights that show what is in the pipeline, what is funded, what is at risk, and what can be delivered within current capacity and timing constraints.
- Partner with business, technology, BSA, and vendor teams to identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and tradeoffs early so plans can be shaped for iterative, value-driven delivery.
- Contribute to estimation, business case development, and financial transparency activities by gathering data, analyzing options, and helping quantify value, cost, and delivery impacts.
- Help evaluate and prioritize requests by analyzing business need, strategic alignment, delivery feasibility, and portfolio impact, and by recommending practical paths forward.
- Maintain and improve portfolio management practices, tools, and standards, including support for Jira, Planview, and related reporting or metrics frameworks, to promote consistency, transparency, and reliable decision support.
- Produce clear, executive-ready materials, summaries, and recommendations that support leadership discussions on priorities, sequencing, funding, and delivery options.
- Analyze portfolio health, delivery trends, and performance measures to identify gaps, opportunities, and actions that improve planning discipline and execution outcomes.
- Facilitate planning, discovery, and cross-functional working sessions to gather information, align stakeholders, clarify scope, and support roadmap and delivery decisions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across lines, delivery teams, business partners, and support functions to strengthen alignment and enable informed, timely decision making.
Qualifications
- Eight to ten years of experience delivering technology-enabled business solutions and transformational change across industries, platforms and lines of businesses within the insurance and/or financial services industries or equivalent experience as a management consultant for a mid-to-top-tier consulting firm (i.e., Accenture, Deloitte, etc.).
- Adequate experience as a consultant in operations or within proximity to operations, with a 30:70 ratio of business to technology experience, working with the technology lifecycle, including delivery and cost of ownership.
- Experience developing roadmaps and business cases and executing projects through to completion.
