We are seeking a Consultant, Technology Engineer to join the Desktop Engineering team within PC Services Physical DWTR.
Responsibilities
- Technical authority on endpoint build provisioning (Autopilot/OSD), secure configuration, complex policy management and modern device management across the enterprise.
- Serves as a key technical owner for enterprise endpoint products and services, ensuring the stability, security, and continuous improvement of the Windows endpoint platform.
- Expertise in endpoint operations and vendor-supported technologies, including Microsoft Intune, policy management, endpoint compliance, patch management, workstation certificate management (Keyfactor SCEP enrollment for Intune) and related endpoint tooling.
- Enterprise Windows build strategy, including Autopilot, OSD, secure configuration standards (CIS benchmarking/CSOC compliance).
- Experience in PowerShell scripting is a plus.
- Run book documentation and CMMI ownership of accountable services.
- Production support, incident, request, problem, and change management;
- Operational ownership of endpoint engineering services;
- Participation in team on-call rotations, including after-hours P0/P1 support;
- Daily operational communications;
- Collaboration across infrastructure, security, and support teams to maintain reliable endpoint services.
- Serves as a trusted consultant to business and technology stakeholders on endpoint-related initiatives and managing policy to support AI endpoint functions.
Requirements
This role requires a strong expertise in endpoint operations and vendor-supported technologies, including Microsoft Intune, policy management, endpoint compliance, patch management, workstation certificate management (Keyfactor SCEP enrollment for Intune) and related endpoint tooling.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or a related field is preferred.
- Technology certifications or designation are not required, but encouraged (i.e., AWS, Azure, scripting and development languages, delivery methods, security).
- Six years or more experience with the most complex integrated solutions with an ability to design and develop and modify new and existing solutions for specialized needs.
- Experience with multiple technologies and within one or more domains.
- Experience with automation of deployment of solution configurations.
- Experience in training/guiding less experienced staff.
- Experience with solutions: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and package solutions.
