About the role

As a Consultant within US Corporate Development, you will support firm leadership and senior team members in evaluating and advancing Deloitte's most strategic investment priorities. You will contribute across the Corporate Development lifecycle, from market assessment and opportunity evaluation to business case development and executive-level recommendations.

This role requires strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, executive communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and often ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Deloitte businesses in refining acquisition priorities aligned to growth strategy
  • Conducting market research and qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform target identification and pipeline development
  • Sourcing and screening acquisition targets under the direction of senior team members
  • Developing strategic rationale and business case materials, including financial modeling and value creation assumptions
  • Supporting due diligence and post-close integration activities across functional stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, consulting, finance, mergers and acquisitions, or investment evaluation
  • Experience developing presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Experience supporting communications for senior stakeholders
  • Experience with market sizing, expert interviews, and survey design (preferred)
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, investment evaluation, or corporate finance (preferred)
  • Experience working within Deloitte's business structure and internal processes (preferred)
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools such as Enterprise GPT or Copilot to support research and productivity (preferred)

The team operates in a remote environment, with flexibility to work from home or a local Deloitte office.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,600 to $157,200.

Schedule

This is an internal, non-client-facing role with limited travel as needed for business meetings.
