About the role
The successful candidate will provide specialist medical care to patients with geriatric medicine needs at Ennis Hospital in County Clare. The position is fixed-term and whole-time.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical care to patients with geriatric medicine needs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of geriatric medicine services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
- Qualified medical practitioner with experience in geriatric medicine
- Current registration with the Medical Council of Ireland
- Experience working in a hospital setting
Qualifications
- MBBS degree
- Postgraduate qualifications in geriatric medicine (optional but advantageous)
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
